Kyle Finished AF Basic Training

May 8th Kyle completed Air Force Basic Training at Lackland AFB. We couldn't have been more proud of him and he looked pretty spiffy in his uniform. The parents drove in from Colorado and his friend Joey from Las Vegas also came. It was 100 degrees out with some serious humidity and he had to wear his uniform ALL weekend. Ick. His technical training is also at Lackland, so he isn't rid of us yet!
We did a couple things without Kyle since he had limited time each day. One of the nights Mike, Joey, and I all went to Dave & Busters. For those of you that don't know, it's a restaurant/arcade kind of place. Super fun, and it was Joey's birthday. We all bought Kyle a lunch box that played music with our arcade tickets...thought it would help him with the ladies.

There was a feisty bee hive directly over the graduation stands and about half way through the ceremony something stirred them all up. It turned into chaos. This CRAZY guy stood right underneath the tree pointing at all the bees while holding his newborn baby!!!
Wow.
On Saturday Kyle had a full day to spend with us and Military families get in free to Sea World so off we went. We surprised him that morning when we showed up to his unit wearing matching t-shirts that said "We Heart AMN. Pittman". He loved it and his friend Joey was totally a good sport about wearing one of the shirts.
We fed the dolphins and I had mixed feelings about the whole situation. Loved the dolphins, wasn't really digging the fish we had to throw to them!
The video below is of our favorite dolphin. She is only 6 months old and was playing with one of the fish we gave her. She would throw it in the air and then jump out of the water to catch it. She was definitely a highlight of the afternoon.
