Just the Girls

My friend Julie drove up from NC to visit over a 4 day weekend last month.  It was her first time EVER leaving her two beautiful kids for an entire weekend.  The kids were in the safe and capable hands of her husband Garrett, but that didn't make it any easier to leave.  However, once she was out the door there was no turning back and only a relaxing girls weekend ahead.  Julie is like a sister to me.  I'm so glad she came and was super sad to see her go, but I know those two little ones could never do without her!

Just on the heels of Julie's departure came my Mom!  We had such a great time.  Lots of crafting here in Dover (my favorite) to include some new curtains she made for me.  Thanks Mom, you're the best.   Then it was off to PA together to visit Chris, Teri & Annie.  They treated us to dinner at the Blue Dog AND gave us tickets to see A White Christmas at the Walnut Theater in Philadelphia.  That was such a fun show.  It actually snows in the theater!  We also had dinner at Moshulu, which is a restored ship built in 1904.  It was a really nice evening and the best way to end our time together.  Love you, Mom.  Only regret is that we only took one photo and it was with my cell phone!
